The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the academic year 2006 with an annual intake of 60. The intake was increased to 120 from the academic year 2011-2012. The Department is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation, AICTE,Delhi) for 2 years. Five batches of students have graduated so far. The Department is offering an M.Tech course in Power Electronics year 2013 intake of 18.
The Department focuses on preparing the students for wide range of careers in power sector .Equipping them with unique enriching experience of moulding tomorrow's technocrats with high caliber and commitment.
B.Tech. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering includes study of various aspects of Power systems, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Control Systems Engineering etc., to meet the requirements of the various industries. The course contains detailed study of the various aspects related to generation transmission, distribution of power along with automation and Control of various Industries which are in vague today. The course of B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering trains an individual in the fields related to Power Plants , Manufacturing Sector ant automation.
The four-year course that lead to a degree in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), adopt a University-mandated semester system of 8 semesters. Each semester is of 18 weeks duration. University examinations are held at the end of each semester.

M.Tech
The objective of this discipline is to train the manpower required (a) to meet the industry needs of the country, (b) to pursue research in specialized areas, and (c) to meet the growing needs of engineering colleges for trained faculty in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The programme includes courses covering the core of Electrical & Electronics Engineering discipline and several electives in the latest areas of developments in the field of Electrical & Electronics.
The two-year course that lead to a degree in Master of Technology (M.Tech), adopt a University-mandated semester system of 4 semesters. Each semester is of 18 weeks duration. University examinations are held at the end of each semester. And second year completely allocated for Project.
