Activity Based Learning

The lecturer taught for every course aim at, to reduce the risk of encouraging students to adopt a reproduction approach to their learning we need to move beyond a merely transmission model of teaching.to encourage higher levels of thinking and reasoning lecturers need to be designed to encourage students to utilize and build on their existing understanding and transform what they hear into their own ways of thinking and knowing. The collegeprovided well equipped with modern teaching aids i.e., multimedia projectors and computers with wi-fi connectivity which make effective teaching,more interesting and interactive for students.

Tutorial and Seminar

It is a small-group teaching methods which should supplement the teacher method. There are three elements in a tutorial-reading,thinking and writing in addition to articulation. The role of teacher is that of a midwife. He presides it is very useful for the students. They are free to express their doubts and clarifies their doubts with tutor concerned over the session and assists in the birth of original ideas and articulation and intervenes only to the extent necessary to print out gaps in knowledge,inadequacies in thinking,inrelevance in argument,contradictions in statement,deficiencies in the arrangement of matter and mistakes in expression. Intellectual element and informal atmosphere are important in tutorial. 

In a seminar the teacher has to play a more self-affacing role. He is the first among equals. He is a coordinator. The whole of the teacher’s provision lifetime of study is the main point of his role in conducting a tutorial or seminar.

Case Based Teaching(problem-based learning)

It is an active learning strategy in which students read and discuss complex,real-life scenarios that call on their analytical thinking skills and decision-making. So that students to apply the concepts learnt for problem-solving,decision-making at any situation.

Innovative and relevant practical sessions:

It describes the use of innovative teaching techniques in clinical teaching. Advantages proposed include increasing teacher and learner enthusiasm,improving participation and developing techniques that are most appropriate to learn in goals. Example of different innovative techniques are provided which are grouped into the categories of experimental learning,roleplaying,competition and games,stimulusmaterial,brainstroming and sub-grouping. The use of innovative techniques require time,planning,a commitment to the teaching process and believe that the resulting learning will be both more enjoyable and productive. All these are with one common goal which aims at providing a “hands on experience” outside of the class room.

Debate: Casestudy ; Dialogue; Buzz; Quizz; Roleplay

It is another discussion from which enables groups to do collective thinking. It sets in motion the processes of group thinking. It consists in eliciting a variety of ideas. It helps the participants to think for themselves without inhibition or restriction. The suggestions of one member is elaborated upon by another. This technique students promote the capacity for discrimination and the dynamics of group thinking.

It draws the user and gratifications,perspective in mass communication research to examine for enhancing knowledge from every corner of their life,the audience experiences associated with websites. 

The students will create new dimensions called personal involvement and continuing relationship were identified and found to be important factors when examining audience reactions to websites. Bulletin Boards

It is documented the nature and extent of electronic bulletin and normal boards use and compared predictions about the succession of collaborative media based on the two theoretical perspectives. Content diversity was directly related to contribution levels,but not to overall adoption levels. Each department has bulletin boards to its students where the students are collecting,clipping from news papers,journals,periodicals or sometimes they are using their own creative work they can display the boards,students are very interesting and it is presenting useful information.

Media

However,large-gpoup lecturing will be more effective and useful if the faculty students uses media.it involes the use of a variety of communication materials and devices to demonstrate,elaborate upon or sometimes even substitute entirely for the professor’s and students own comments and explanations. Students are appropriate visual,audio or electronic feedback devices and equipment. Students achieved clear communication of ideas directly towards pre-determined goals. The students are illuminated to have liability towards all the issues happening in the world.

Mock Interview

It provides a professional one-on-one opportunity for all students practice their interview and resume writing skills with a member of the business community and industry experts. The mock interviews questions are skill|behavioural centered and are general interview type questions. The students are given immediate verbal and written feedback from the business member regarding their interview performance,resume and their professional dress. Mock interviews take place during the second semester and preparation for the mock interview takes place in advisory MI are held on weekly basis to pertaining train the students so as to how to face interview conducted by the industrial experts. The college creates corporate environment for the students in every mock interview. These sessions are recorded audio-visual and shown to the students. Thereafter feedback is provided to tell students then the students to know and to do their own attempt analysis. It helps them whoever understands their strengths and weakness.
